I've been meaning to visit this place. Now, procrastination has come back to bite me. It's closing on April 30th. This is so sad. For those of us who are or have aspirations to be gourmet cooks, this was the perfect resource to have under our belts. A bookstore dedicated solely to cookbooks, chefs and food, for the domestic godess in all of us! How brilliant! Unfortunately, web giants like Amazon.com and big-boxers Borders & Barnes & Noble were impossible to compete with.
This economy has so many casualties.
Now, we have 30 days to visit this little gem on West 3rd Street in Los Angeles, to find beautiful books to build our cookbook libraries with. Items are marked down 20% for now, and the markdown will increase in the weeks leading to the closing.
